Los Angeles’s Breed Street Shul Saved by Politicians
The Los Angeles City Council voted unanimously to purchase the Breed
Street Shul (see JHR, Issue Number 1, 12 for additional information) and
to present it to the Jewish Historical Society of Southern California.
After renovation, the Breed Street Shul will house a community service
center, a small synagogue, and a historical museum.
