Historical Data: Prior to World War II, there were three synagogues in Trikala. Only the Kal Yavanim Synagogue, orginally built in the 19th century, survived--though seriously damaged. It was reconstructed after 1945.
Area/Capacity: 140 sq. m./ 150-200 persons
Actual Condition: The small Jewish Community of Trikala does not have the means to maintain the synagogue. Works of restoration are required.
Necessary Restoration Works: Restoration of the roof, conservation, and water-tightening works for the floors are needed.
Estimated Cost: 15 million drs. ($43,000 US)
