"Jewish
Prague" 56 pages, 4.5 x 8.7 inches (11.5 x 22 cm); ISBN
80-85608-52-9; Price: 4 USD / 4 €
This full-color publication offers an excellent overview of Jewish Prague,
including descriptions of all synagogues in the former Jewish Quarter of
Prague and the Old Jewish Cemetery. It also presents the lesser-known Prague
Jewish monuments such as the New Jewish Cemetery, the Jewish Cemetery in
the Zizkov quarter, the Jerusalem Synagogue and synagogues in the suburbs
of Prague. The publication has a large number of color photos and some historical
photos. It provides a list of important contacts (synagogues, cemeteries,
Jewish institutions, Jewish restaurants, etc.) and is, therefore, a must
for anyone planning a trip to Prague who is looking for a good introduction
to Jewish monuments in the city.
The publication is available in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish
or Czech and the price is 4 USD or 4 €. When ordering only one copy,
the shipping is 10 USD for countries outside of Europe and 6 € for
Europe. For ordering or other inquiries please contact the Jewish Museum
in Prague at marketa.trimble@jewishmuseum.cz.
