The Jewish Museum of Australia was established in 1982 in the Melbourne Hebrew Congregation synagogue.  The Jewish Museum of Australia is a community museum, which aims to explore and share the Jewish experience in Australia and benefit Australia's diverse society. The collection highlights Australian Jewish personalities, past and present. Through its frequent exhibitions, forums and film nights, it illustrates the Australian Jewish experience of migration, displacement and the challenge of adaptation to a new land.

The Governor of NSW, Rear Admiral Peter Sinclair AC, officially opened the Sydney Jewish Museum on 18 November 1992.  The Sydney Jewish Museum is dedicated to documenting and teaching the history of the Holocaust so that these events will never be repeated.
The museum also deals with Jewish life from the first days of European settlement in Australia.

The archive contains valuable 17th century marriage contracts as well as the 1941 diary of a young Viennese Jew. These graphic artworks, photographs, documents and manuscripts are fragmentary snapshots of Jewish life.

It was opened on November 7, 1944, when severe struggle was still going on. The museum’s collection and 30 exposition halls contain approximately 80.000 unique exhibits: a rich collection of documents and photos, weapons used by hoops and partisans including homemade ones. There is a diorama of the Maly Trastyanets death camp (the third largest in Europe).

The Mechelen Museum of Deportation and the Resistance is one of the rare museums in Europe to bear witness to the tragedy suffered by the Jewish people during the Second World War and be located in one of the places that itself served as an antechamber for the extermination of the Jewish people. The foundation stone of the new museum was laid by the President of the Flemish Community, Mr. Luc Van den Brande, on September 20, 1992.

The museum is housed at the recently restored synagogue in Sofia. The small collection is especially notable for its selection of Parochet (Ark curtains) from former synagogues of Bulgaria.  There is also an exhibit on the history of Jews in Bulgaria and the fate of the community during the Holocaust.

The Prague Jewish Museum was founded in 1906, which makes it the third oldest Jewish museum in Central Europe (Vienna 1895, Frankfurt 1897). The basis of the collection comprises items from the pre-war Jewish Museum, the bulk of which was acquired by the war-time Central Jewish Museum in connection with shipments from Jewish communities.

The first Jewish exhibition in Denmark was shown at the premises of the Industrial Society of Copenhagen in 1908. The emphasis was on arts and crafts, concentrating mainly on items related to Jewish religious ritual, those used both in formal services and at home. The display also included a little art exhibition where various Jewish artists presented works for sale.

The Ben Uri was founded in 1915 in the East End of London by a young Russian born Jewish artist by the name of Leon Berson. The Ben Uri has over the years built up a unique and important permanent collection of over 200 British and European Jewish artists reflecting close to 1000 works of art across all mediums.

Founded in 1932, the Museum has one of the world's finest collections of Jewish Ceremonial Art. The Jewish Museum in 1995 relocated to an elegant listed building only a short walk from Camden Town Underground station in Camden. The Jewish Museum in London contains one of the world's finest collections of Jewish ceremonial art. The museum seeks to present the history of the Jewish people in Britain from the Norman Conquest in 1066 onwards. The ceremonial art gallery aims to explain Jewish religious practices. In the main prayer hall of this 1644 synagogue life-size cardboard figures depict orthodox Jews of the old Kazimierz, and a large television screen beams the same two black and white films over and over. In adjacent rooms there is a moving series of photographs from the Krakow ghetto of WWII, and a darkened room where you can watch Nazi anti-Semitic propaganda, dubbed over in Hebrew, with French subtitles.
