The Center for Jewish Art
is the world's foremost institution dedicated to the preservation of the
Jewish artistic heritage. Its activities include documentation, research,
education and publishing.
The major project of the
Center for Jewish Artis the Jerusalem Index of Jewish Art, an iconographical
Jewish art database.
Chaired by the Honorable
Ronald S. Lauder, the Jewish Heritage Program unites communities worldwide
with public and private agencies committed to the protection and preservation
of Jewish heritage.
Preserving monuments, historic
buildings, and cemeteries associated with the foreign heritage of American
citizens_to honor the past, impart meaning to the present, and advance
mutual cooperation and friendship among countries
