| Description | Essentially Neo-Classical in character, it is rectangular in plan with a colonnaded porch and |
| flanked by two towers on the facade. The structure is built of buff colored brick with |
| terra-cotta detailing. The interior is Palladian in design with vaulted ceiling. |

| * The building had been abandoned and unused for twenty years and needed a million dollars to |
| renovate it. During July, 1989 the congregation had hoped to sign an agreement with a concert |
| group to take over the building. However, that failed to transpire and after a ten year attempt to |
| prevent the demolition and with a lack of organized opposition by the Jewish community |
| Temple de Hirsch disappeared. |
