DescriptionBuilt in the Classical Revival style, the chapel is one story, rectangular and constructed of

Indiana limestone and granite. On the architrave is the Hebrew inscription, "Peace be on this

house of Worship and on all houses of Worship of Israel." It is in good condition, unaltered

and on its original site.

SignificanceArnold Brunner, the architect, reflected a period of architectural disposition in America by

designing the Classical style for the Frank chapel. It exhibits growth and success. Brunner also

relates the Chapel to archaeological excavations of the 4th century synagogues, whereby he

combines ancient structures to conform to then current idiom of classicism.
