DescriptionThe exterior of this small red brick synagogue is Gothic Revival. The interior was designed to

be orthodox with a center Bimah. It is unaltered, on the original site and in good condition.

SignificanceB'nai Jacob has survived as the oldest building erected as a synagogue and remains operating as a

house of worship. It is the only remaining Orthodox synagogue in Central Pennsylvania which

was built to be Orthodox.
