| Significance | This the oldest surviving structure for a Jewish congregation in St. Louis. The congregation was |
| liveral and grew as immigrants arrived from Russia and Europe. In 1944 the congregation sold |
| the building to a parish for use as a high school. In 1969 it was sold to the St. Louis Board of |
| Education who after six years boarded it up and it now exists as apartments. |
