DescriptionThree parts are built in the eclectic Byzanto-Romanesque style primarily in six shades of brick

with cut limestone for copings and decorative trim. The east facade is flanked by twin

multi-colored domes. The building is structurally sound and well maintained. Little change or

alteration internally or externally.

SignificanceThis building is the only example of Byzanto-Romanesque architecture in the Kansas City area.

In 1928 Beth Shalom was named by a jury of architects as the outstanding work completed in

Kansas City that year.
