SignificanceIt is one of the few existing stuctures by the firm of Adler and Sullivan, and the last building

designed in this style before their progression into what is now known as Modern Architecture

in America. This building is exemplary of ecclesiastical stylization. This congregation, formed

in 1847, is the oldest Jewish congregation in the entire Northwest.
